Alastair Cardno is an Executive Director at Bellandaine and a co-founder of the practice, with more than 20 years of experience across building consultancy, technical due diligence, capital expenditure planning, and tax depreciation in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Before co-founding Bellandaine, Alastair held senior leadership roles at one of Australia’s largest property advisory firms, where he was responsible for national portfolio oversight, technical governance, and service delivery across a diverse range of institutional mandates. Alastair’s strength lies in the combination of deep technical knowledge and commercial clarity — assessing complex buildings with precision and translating findings into risk-prioritised, actionable CapEx programmes that clients can rely on for investment planning and governance.
He has extensive experience delivering assessments across operationally sensitive and occupied environments, including education, aged care, hospitality, and specialist facilities. Alastair oversees Bellandaine’s ownership services practice — the ongoing advisory that keeps assets performing and client relationships intact over years, not transactions. Many of the firm’s longest-standing clients work primarily with Alastair, bringing him questions that go well beyond any formal service description, because he has earned the credibility to be useful across all of them.
